Furthermore, I'm not sure what "problems" I was creating that I was referring to. If users can't follow the rules of the forum then moderators have every right to lock a thread. If users have "problems" with that then they can learn to follow the rules.

While I was the only moderator involved in locking the thread, a group decision among moderators to lock a thread is not required. The thread was temporarily locked so I could go through and delete the crap and get it back on track. However, what went down in the 4 pages was more then enough to warrant locking it permanently. The daily posters in that thread have been warned SEVERAL times about flaming and getting off topic.
